Whether you use an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or any Apple device, you can type in Arabic without even knowing how to type in Arabic.

Not only Arabic, but this will be applicable to any language or dialect. Even emojis or symbols will work with this.

I use this feature to send Arabic phrases really quickly.

How?

All you have to do is just add text replacement phrases with the shortcuts on any of your Apple devices, and it will be available across all your devices. Whenever you type the shortcut, the replacement will pop up automatically.

Explained

Here’s a short explanation of how you do it on your iPhone.

  • From Settings, go to General.
  • Tap on Keyboards
  • Tap “Text Replacement“.
  • Tap the β€œ+” button in the top-right corner.
  • Add the phrase (i.e: Ω…Ψ±ΨΨ¨Ψ§).
  • Add a shortcut (i.e: marhaba)
  • Tap Save.

Now that you have added the replacement phrases with its shortcuts, you can access them from almost anywhere you use your keyboard. Just type the shortcut (i.e: marhaba), or any shortcut that you created, and it will automatically show you the replacement phrase.

This is how I quickly send Arabic phrases using this feature.
