In my academic professional journey, since 2019, I have had the opportunity to work on several fascinating projects that have enriched my skills and knowledge with the grace of Allah.
Project “AMED – Advancing higher education in Maldives through E-learning Development”, approved by Erasmus+ programme – KA2 Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practice, Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education.
This project has a goal to enable support of the modernization, approach and internationalization of high education placed in Maldives through academic teacher competences and skills promotion, considering new innovative education programs in E- learning.
Faculty of Organization and Informatics is coordinating this EU project, led by assoc. prof. Igor Balaban, PhD. Besides Maldives National University, project partners are also The Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and Croatian Academic and Research Network (CARNET).
About my role in the project, I was fully committed to work in the project to the best of my ability. Since technology enabled learning and online education is something I love, committing to the project is based on my personal interest than an employment obligation.
The project requires day-to-day collaboration with members of CETE, communicating with consortium partners, planning piloting and dissemination of project outputs along with developing the mindset of the people in relation to e-learning. Apart from that, responsibility exclusive to me was dealing with any web-based development and media creation needed for the project.
The project ORKAN is supported by the Croatian Science Foundation.
The project focuses on the use of unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs) or drones for different purposes. It’s focus is the potential misuse of drones, including privacy violations and unauthorized entry into airspace.
Aim of the project is to develop a system for fast localization of intruder UAV pilots to enforce legal guidelines and enhance security and privacy. It also aims to create a new architecture for connected systems with an emphasis on simplicity, security, and communication energy efficiency.
The project methodology includes research methods and techniques, and it is divided into different work packages that address legal and ethical aspects, market analysis, localization of control signals, drone constellation management, energy-efficient communication, and dissemination.
The project goals include developing a research platform with a drone constellation to localize drone pilots and achieving specific objectives related to legal research, communication, RF scanning, telemetry and control systems, signal source localization, navigation mechanisms, and performance measurement.
